Free School Meals

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you are in receipt of any of benefits. Further information can be found below.​

 

Eligibility

​

Targeted free school meals

If you receive the following benefits with annual earned income of £7,400 or less -

• Universal Credit

• income-related Employment and Support Allowance

• the guarantee element of Pension Credit

 

Expanded free school meals

If you receive the following benefits with annual earned income above £7,400 -

• Universal Credit

• income-related Employment and Support Allowance

• the guarantee element of Pension Credit

Your child must also be attending at least one full day of state funded school per week to qualify for free school meals.

 

Please apply even if your child currently gets Universal Infant Free School Meals (Foundation Stage, Y1 & Y2).

How to apply

You can apply for Free School Meals by completing a short application form. This is available from the school office or you can download the form by clicking the link below. You can also apply online with Hull City Council directly here. 

 

You will receive a decision regarding your application by letter or e mail within 7 days. The school will be notified electronically if approved.

 

If you are entitled to Targeted Free School Meals the school the child attends will distribute free school meal vouchers for the school holidays.

 

If you have not received a free school meal voucher for the holiday period, please contact your school.
